Connect Claude to your Timeero data in a couple of minutes

Connect your Timeero account to Claude once, and you can ask about hours, mileage, jobs, and schedules in plain language. Setup takes about two minutes and uses your Timeero Public API key.

Get your Public API key
In Timeero, go to Integrations → Public API → Configuration and copy your Public API key. Timeero encrypts your key and uses it only for MCP tool calls.

Open Claude with Timeero prefilled
Click Add to Claude to open claude.ai with the Timeero connector already filled in. Prefer to set it up by hand? In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors, add a custom connector named Timeero, and set the URL to https://mcp.timeero.com/mcp.

Connect the Timeero MCP
Scroll to the Timeero MCP connector and click Connect.

Paste your Public API key
Paste the key you copied from Timeero, then continue.

Choose what Claude can do
On the authorize screen, decide whether Claude may write and delete your Timeero data. Claude always has read access.

Allow access and start asking
Click Allow access, return to Claude, and ask your first question, like "Who is currently clocked in?"

⚠️ Important: the MCP connector is available on the Timeero Premium plan, which includes the Public API used to connect.

💡 Want answers only? Leave write and delete unchecked on the authorize screen. Claude keeps read access and can pull data without changing anything in Timeero.

Can Claude change my data in Timeero?

Only if you allow it. Claude has read access to Timeero by default. Write and delete access are optional and apply only if you enable them on the authorize screen when you connect. Leave both unchecked for answers without changes.

You need a Timeero account on the Premium plan and your Public API key, found under Integrations, Public API, Configuration. You paste that key into Claude when you add Timeero as a custom connector.

Yes, within the data it can access. Claude reasons over the time, mileage, GPS, schedule, and job data it pulls from Timeero, so it can answer multi-part questions and flag outliers for you to review, such as hours that fall outside someone's schedule or mileage that looks high for the jobs visited. These are answers a single canned report doesn't give you directly.
