How to Sync Timesheets and PTO
from Timeero to BambooHR

Field team time tracking that goes beyond BambooHR.

BambooHR's time tracking works for desk-based teams. For field teams — people on job sites, in clients' homes, or moving between locations — you need more.

TTimeero adds GPS-verified clock-ins, geofenced job sites, automatic clock-in/out by location, and automatic mileage tracking. Once you connect the two, timesheets sync directly into BambooHR and PTO records stay consistent across both systems, no double entry.

🔗 How to set up the Timeero–BambooHR integration

   Go to Company Settings → Integration Settings
   Click the edit icon next to BambooHR. This is where you enable the integration, choose your sync type, and select which employee groups are included.

   Map employees, projects, tasks, and time-off categories
   Match BambooHR employees to their Timeero counterparts, BambooHR Projects to Timeero Jobs, Tasks to Tasks, and Time Off Categories to the matching categories in Timeero. Proper mapping is what makes exports work — do this before anything else.

   Choose Automatic or Manual sync
   Automatic Sync exports timesheets to BambooHR as soon as an employee clocks out — no admin action required. Manual Sync lets you approve timesheets first, then export them when you're ready. Either way, the same validation rules apply: mismatched project or task assignments won't export.

   Employees select the right job when they clock in
   When someone clocks in, they pick the Job that corresponds to their BambooHR Project. If that project has tasks, they pick one too. That selection determines where the timesheet ends up in BambooHR.

   Find exported timesheets in the employee's BambooHR profile
   In BambooHR, go to People, open the employee's profile, and select Timesheets. Every synced clock-in and clock-out entry is there — project, task, and timestamp included.

   PTO records sync the same way
   Time-off categories mapped in Timeero transfer to BambooHR too. Open the employee's Time Off tab to see PTO entries — same records, both systems, without touching a spreadsheet.
