Timeero’s Messaging feature lets you communicate with your team, share updates, and keep work conversations organized, all inside one platform.
💬 How to use messaging
-
1
Enable Messaging
Go to Company Settings → General Settings and enable Messaging. Until this is turned on, Messaging won’t appear in Timeero at all.
-
2
Enable Messaging for the right roles
Go to Company Settings → Messaging Settings and select which roles can access Messaging.
-
3
Start a conversation or create a group
Open the Messaging tab to create two types of conversations:
• One-on-one conversations
• Group conversations for teams, job sites, or specific tasks
-
4
Send messages, photos, and files
Use Messaging to:
• Send real-time updates and instructions
• Share photos or videos from the field
• Upload and send files directly in chat
-
5
Manage permissions and keep communication organized
Admins can control:
• Who can use Messaging
• Who can create or manage groups
All messages, photos, and files stay inside Timeero, so your team has easy access to past conversations and updates.
⚠️
Important: Messaging is role-based. If a role isn’t selected, users in that role won’t see Messaging at all. For example, if Admin is not selected, admins won’t be able to access or use Messaging.
💡
Quick tip: Messaging must be enabled in settings and assigned to a role. If the feature is not enabled for a role, it simply won’t appear for those users anywhere in the app.
🚀
Availability: Messaging is available as an add-on for Pro and Premium plans, starting at $2 per user/month.
