How to Stop “Off-Site” Clock-Ins
With Geofencing

How to set up geofencing for accountability

1. Draw a Precise Geofence Go to Jobs & Tasks > Update Job > Location Details. Check Require Geofencing. Use the Polygon Tool to draw a custom, precise boundary around your worksite on the map, excluding any nearby areas. Click Update Job.

2. Set Employee Reminders In the same job settings, scroll to Geofence Actions. Select 'Send Notification' for both 'arrives' and 'departs'. This reminds employees to clock in/out, building accountability. Click Update Job.

3. Block Off-Site Clock-Ins Go to Company Settings > General. Turn on 'Require users to be within geofence to clock in'. This will block employees from clocking in until they are physically inside the boundary you drew.

4. Activate Admin Alerts In Company Settings, also turn on ‘Notify admin if user clocks in/out of bounds’. This sends you an immediate push notification if a violation occurs. Click Save to apply these rules.

5. Review Flagged Timesheets Go to the Timesheets report. You will now see any punch made outside the geofence clearly marked with a red flag, giving you a simple, indisputable record for review.
