Exclude specific users

Anyone excluded from Work Schedule Settings can clock in any day at any time. Useful for managers or on-call staff.

Required for Auto Clock-In/Out

If you have Auto Clock-In/Out enabled, Work Schedule Settings aren't optional — they're what tells Timeero when to trigger the automatic clock-in.

Without a schedule configured, employees won't be clocked in automatically, even when they're standing inside a geofenced job site. The schedule defines the window. The geofence defines the location. Both have to be in place.

Common questions

Does Work Schedule Settings affect clock-out?

No. Employees can always clock out, any day, at any time. The restriction only applies to clocking in.

What happens if I have Auto Clock-In/Out but no Work Schedule configured?

Employees won't be clocked in automatically, regardless of whether they've arrived at a geofenced site. You need a schedule set for Auto Clock-In/Out to trigger.

Can employees be automatically clocked in outside of working hours?

No. The schedule determines when Auto Clock-In is allowed to fire. If someone arrives at a job site outside the configured hours, they won't be clocked in.

Can I let some employees clock in outside of these hours?

Yes. You can exclude specific users from Work Schedule Settings entirely. Excluded users can clock in any day at any time.
